Baron is an early riser, and typically starts rustling around before 6:00AM. Soft mumbles for "Mama" or "Daddy" will go on for a bit, but unchecked will turn into a crying session. With good timing he will be standing up at the rails, toys and pacifiers in hand ready to be lifted out. I suggest transferring him right over to the changing table.
For the morning use either a Pull up or a Regular Diaper from the first drawer on the right of the changing table. Most outfits in the closet have both Tops and Bottoms on the hanger. Socks are in the second drawer on the right of the changing table.
We put on Paw Patrol(Paramount+ App) or CocoMelon (Youtube App) just for some passive entertainment whilst we get his shoes on. I would be shocked if he hasn't asked for Milk by now.
If he is only interested in milk, he can easily down 10oz. We still use the Larger Philips Avent bottles for this as hes not a big fan of the Sippy cups or Regular cups. He has been asking for Toast most mornings - if so 6oz of milk should do.
Daycare opens for drop off at 6:00 in the infant section (first door on left), and 7:00 in the toddler section (end of the hall) - feel free to bring him in any time after 6:00AM. We typically try to arrive after 7:00 because drop off is significantly easier to his classroom. Baron won't usually let go of whatever trinkets he has. Once in the room, it should be easy to place them in his Bin at the back of the room. If you can't pry them away, the teachers are familiar with his Rocky.
On weekends this is Prime Playtime. We try to spend this time without any technology - playing with toys and expressing creativity.
Daycare typically serves up Bananas, Apples, and Yogurt for a mid morning snack.
If the weather is nice, we like to get outside. Baron LOVES the snow, but hates wearing his gloves (at least for the first 10 minutes) We packed up the toys in the backyard, but its a short walk/drive over to the park (if its not wet out)
There is some play dough up high in the Plate cupboard for sensory, and we have started to store Coloring Books and Crayons in his new Play table.
It's best to clear all toys from the surrounding area before lunchtime. Baron has begun feeding all of his toys and it gets messy. Favorites for lunch are Mac & Cheese (noodles), Fruit Cups, Bread, and Hotdog/Hamburger - topped off with a big thing of Milk.
After lunch ask him to grab a book to read. He loses interest quick if the television is on, otherwise he listens attentively.
Baron has been asking to go down for nap lately. This is made easier by drawing the shades, turning on his Owl noise machine, making sure he has Rocky and 1-2 Pacifiers, his Pillow, and a Blanket. Sometimes he will ask for a Rock-a-Bye or a "Pumpkin Pie" which just means he wants a cuddle or a bit more milk.
School does baby shark, Daddy does Van Halen Jump, but Baron will dance to almost anything if you partake.
Small snack and juice is best here so he actually eats dinner.
Make sure to count all of the City Buses, School Buses, Big trucks, and Water Towers.
We try to do interactive things, like racing cars, playing with dice, or counting money and peering through "Gems" tis the Season and its perfectly fine to hang out in the basement with the Christmas lights.
Our picky eater will never deny Cottage Cheese - supplement with a fruit cup, Cheesey tortilla, or a PB&J
We have been running the Shower head on Max Heat to steam up the bathroom - when it all fills the tub its the perfect temperature. If filling the tub directly, test heat with wrist so its bearable. His new Tube and Gear toys have been a hit. We've been working on verbally getting him to lay down in the water to make rinsing his hair out less traumatic - and its been working! He likes to hear voices through the water and himself when his ears are under.
After bath its right to "Cream" / Lotion, and getting into Jammies. Baron will sometimes ask to pick out his own, but most of the time will not care. He can be easily occupied with a comb, his Rocky toy, or a bottle of Pediasure to make the changing easier.
We put on Paw Patrol, Frozen 2, and I have been trying to find some Christmas shows as he enjoys Snow and Santa. At about 7:45 you can ask if he wants to go night night, or if he wants a Rock-a-Bye. At 8:00PM he will either get a second wind or go right to sleep - we hardly ever wait that long to find out.
